The third look I styled for the Tongue in Chic for TM guest blogger was this sheer vintage cape. Wore it over a Topshop top and vintage pants.

So a lot of you have asked me about my wedding preparation which I haven't started anything yet. Planning my own wedding seemed to fall right into place but I literally don't know where to begin. I'm really getting excited for the big day but getting married is not as simple as I think. Luckily for me, I already had the perfect venue and the perfect groom, which made the rest easy. And we figured it out it will be a very small and intimate ceremony, nothing flashy, but will be the most magical day of our lives.

I'm currently taking it easy in my room after a crazy, crazy weeks. I am sooooo well rested now! Trust me, I have neverrrrr had better sleep that I've had this week. Blisssss :)

Okay, so I've waited sooooo long to write about this. It still feel like as if I'm dreaming but it's true, I'm engageeeddd!!! Ahhh, I'm officially "booked" by the man of my choice - Mohd Zul Mazrie. Okay. Wow. About last two months, we finally arranged a meet up between our families for a "merisik" ceremony. The confirmation of the engagement date was done on that day which was held a couple weeks ago, on 17th December.

So the engagement ceremony was held at my parents house in Seremban where most of our immediate family and close friends came to show their love and support. It was so nice when finally our families meet each other and discuss about our future. And InsyaAllah, the BIG DAY will be held somewhere in September next year :)

Here's just a little glimpse of the day. I'll post more photos from our photographer, Shah, and will write about the day and the amazing people that were there. For now here a few of my favourites...

Newlyweds and Introducing Ratio Design

I've wanted to write about Ratio Design for a long time, and since this post is about our work for a recent friend's wedding I figured it'd be as good a time as any. As I mentioned to you before, one of my bestest friends, Aziera, was recently married to the love of her life, Redza. The ceremony took place in Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, near the lake area (it was outside and beautiful!). I was there from noon until the sun went down, then the moment we had all been waiting for: the bride and groom arrived by boat and walked up from the jetty to the reception, which was so romantic (I got goosebumps watching the whole thing)! It was such a beautiful moment and I was so happy for her!

Isn’t their reception are gorgeous?! We decorated the drift boat with flowers, ivy and fairy lights. I just love how sweet its turned out. All the lovely details were designed by my boyfriend and I – What a lucky couple to have such a talented friends on their big day! *blows nail*

They’re perfect together!

Aziera and Redza stepped out into the glorious night and they were stunning. Aziera's dress was creamy white with lace and embroidery details and Redza was dressed in all white suit. Both of them looked absolutely beautiful and charming.

And here the "hantaran" decor that we did for the solemnization. The red roses and carnations were so elegant!

It was a pleasure to be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime day and I wish every happiness to both of you. :)

Trend Talk

I'm deep down in dizzying depths of an extremely busy weeks working on shoe designs for an upcoming project and then decor works for a dear friend's wedding (more on that later!). But somehow, my days have been filled with such enjoyable, rewarding work.

Last week I got the chance to write up a post for Tongue in Chic, which I was beyond thrilled about. Anyhow, my little post is all about the upcoming Spring Summer 12 collection, which just might be the collection that's inspiring me most at the moment. So I was pleased to recently styled some looks from the season. I'll be sharing the photos with you soon, but in the meantime, here's some of them...

Frosty green colour, visions of the spring to come, and glitzy embellished Miss Selfridge cape for a perfect statement piece.

Later that night, we ended up going to Kampung Baru for a delicious porridge dinner which is pretty much heaven.

Extra Eyebrows

Pretty much made my week when I received an awesome gift from Anastasia Beverly Hills. It's a Beauty Express for Brows and Eyes. If you think eyebrows are truly major just like me, than you have to love this!

I love the packaging!

The little kit comes with brow wax cream, two shades of brow powder and eyeshadow, stencils and a wee angled brush too.

The brow is clearly a little theatrical for real life but it's just gorgeous to behold!

So here, step-by-step to get fully, groomed brows...

My eyebrow in it's own natural devices.

Begin by applying the BROW WAX CREAM using the Brow Brush to keep those suckers in place.

ALIGN THE STENCIL TO BROW (select the stencil that fits the most of your natural brow hair through the cutout).

APPLY BROW POWDER TO THE OPEN AREA using the Brow Brush.

Fill in any bald or thin spots.

Then, do the other side the same way.

A note: Make sure to apply it in the same direction as hair growth

Finally, APPLY SHADOW...

to enhance brow bone and lids

And...

inner corners of eyes.

Voila! Bountiful brows, beautifully.

My boyfriend and I got up early for a long day to Old Blossom Box Pre-loved Party and The Threadszoo at The Strand last Sunday. I wore a vintage trench coat over a vintage top with skinny jeans and Aldo pumps. I got this trench coat in Melaka at one of my favourite thrift stores last week. I feel like it’s so stupidly me to be wearing a trench coat in the middle of hot weather but this is one of my absolute favourite piece – I love the colour and for some reason it looks appropriate. Don't you think so?

Well today, I have to lock myself at home so I would get all those last minute things done for my trip. I hate the packing process – figure out of what to pack and how to fit all the clothes into my luggage!

I don’t know how the internet access will be but I’ll try to figure it out. The store will be operating as usual, but I won’t be able to send out things until I get back next week. Oh, and I’ll definitely be taking lots of pictures but I don’t know how they will turn out since my boyfriend will be not around... and I’m so sad about leaving him behind :( Going to miss him so much, and my family, and my cats!

It was another busy week (trust me, it was crazy around here these last few days), but we managed to take pictures really quickly on our way for a recent night out.

I’m wearing my new purchased Topshop dress (so many good things at Topshop right now, I swear!). Everything about the dress – the lace, the colour and how it fits well on my body is so delightful. And the scallop-trimmed felt like just the right finish.

I am now back from a looong holiday, where I feel so blessed and went to visit relatives and got to hang out a lot with my parents and my brothers.

I just can't stop loving this long cardigan that I got last week. Make a lot of fun by layering it with this Topshop sequin leggings. And the colour is so good, too.

Since I'm so in 'Hari Raya' mode, I thought I'd take a moment to get caught up on a little overdue linkage, with a few special snapshots thrown in. Last Friday my boyfriend and I decided to get out of the city and take a day trip to Melaka. I've been wanting to go there ever since our last trip in January, and it was so nice to revisit all my favourite spots: my favourite Asam Pedas restaurant and of course thrift stores! In the evening, we walk around the town, which was just amazing, and Jonker Walk at night. Driving back home, I couldn't stop smiling! I loved every minute of it.

I went out to Old Blossom Box yesterday to send necklaces for Jezmine. She's so lovely and bought two Abstract Plates in yellow and coral! Thank you, and I hope you're having fun play around with them. :) Later that night my boyfriend and I went to One Utama for a movie and had a delicious yong tau foo dinner.

About the look - Just a simple outfit. I bought this lovely 50s vintage lace dress last week and it is really pretty. Oh, and I guess you've noticed that I got a new pair of sunglasses (they're from Mango)! I'm pairing them with vintage scarf and belt, Charles & Keith heels.

Photoshoot Day

A few quick, behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot we did last week. I’ve been wanting to have a real proper model for the store for this whole collection, and when my friend Fiefa told me about Hana I knew she’d be perfect (and plus, she's my blog reader!). She was so adorable wore all the outfits. I can’t tell you how happy I am with the way these pictures turned out. Thank you, Hana, Fiefa, Zul, Shah and Add for your help. The shoot was a success!

Here's yet another collection from Arared. It is actually the same design with the nude top but in different material. I'm especially love the colour, and it is so perfectly light and loose (ask my boyfriend-I wear the same few top all the time during the week.) Well, it was almost perfect - I'm adding up some detailing (show it to you soon, promise!).

Ahhh, I've been so busy over this few weeks with some more work on our store and we just did catalogue photoshoot this week. I’ll be posting them when it’s officially out, but for now here is a picture that my friend a.k.a the photographer, Shah, put together of what happens behind the scenes on a shoot. Honestly I'm so glad to have an awesome team and adorable Hana Ahmad model for us.

Today was nice though, so my boyfriend and I made a quick trip to get The Last Polka ice cream at Whisk Espresso Bar. I wore this new found vintage dress with a bandage skirt. I think the muted shades of the outfit goes well with a touch of gold and I especially love how the turquoise clutch and blue scarf add just the right amount of colours.

The bib necklace I'm wearing is actually my latest DIY project. Ever since I saw this somewhere online, I thought; Hey, cool! I want one! It almost seems like it was yesterday, when I found out I will be be a guest in Wanita Hari Ini, to share my opinion and fashion sense regarding the topic - Nautical Trend. The excitement built for few days, I could barely believe it was happening.

I was more than a little nervous when I arrived at the set.

And so it began, an incredible experience full of amazing moments and amazing people. I spoke along with Nabila Huda, Malaysian actress/singer and Izza Safinaz, Editor of Cosmopolitan. I can’t even begin to tell you the pressure I feel on that time. I am very much afraid I will look like hell for my first appearance on National TV. I hope it was not as bad as I thought. *Praying for a miracle*

Benson Chen's Shoe Party

Benson Chen and mifa were kind enough to invite me to the shoe party at The Twelve, Fahrenheit 88 last Saturday. The event was so fun and I truly want to thank every single one of you who took the time to come and meet me!

I finally wore the the dress and skirt I made for the first time and I have to say, I absolutely adore it! I can't wait until they're officially launch!

So, a bunch of summer pieces were successfully made last week, and I'm pretty blown away. (Yes, you've guessed it, my own designs!) An EXCLUSIVE collection will be launched soon!

Here, a few quick, behind-the-scenes shots of our photoshoot with Bibo last Tuesday. It was a lot of fun and the model, Lana, was so adorable wore summery outfits. I think the shoot was a success. I'll show you when they're finished.

The simplest outfits for a hot day. Thanks to Tongue in Chic for the coolest top! Finally I found the perfect match for my vintage sheer skirt that I bought from Shop Flashback. It was hiding in my wardrobe for months already, I don't think I have ever worn them.

And... Let me introduce you to the newest addition to my accessories collection... When I got this package from The Tongue in Chic Store about a few weeks ago, I literally jumped of excitement, these necklace are not only perfect, but the colours are beautiful. I can only say that I am in love!

Chick Magnet Bazaar

We took some outfit photos before the Chick Magnet Bazaar was started. I'm wearing new dress my boyfriend got for me. Have I mentioned he is the most awesome-st ever? Ha ha (special shout-out to him). It is definitely a fun dress to wear and I especially love the nude colour and princess-ness feel. I wore it with denim vest, vintage belt and scarf, Chenta Puteh earrings, Philipa bangle from Tongue in Chic Store, Charles & Keith heels.

Brocade Jacket

Found this brocade jacket at my grandma's house a couple weeks ago and I immediately fell in love with it! Oh my god, the bold and bright fuchsia is so tempting. Seriously. Coolest thing I've seen in her house! Now she will be annoyed with me because I have decided to visit her more often after this. Ha ha.

Wore it with Topman t shirt, Topshop skinny jeans, Baci cloche hat, and Charles & Keith heels.

Okay now... The Wardrobe will join bazaar again! Yay! Let's have some retail therapy this Saturday at Stellar Studio...

Aladdin's Harem

Right after the Jaspal show, I had to immediately change my outfit and made my way to STYLO "Aladdin's Harem" night at Scarlet Theatre. The fashion showcase featuring Khoon Hooi, Edric Ong and Melinda Looi.

Ami Schaheera, Hana Tajima and Puteri were there too!

Khoon Hooi Spring Summer 2011 collection were absolutely insane. Drapery and dramatic voluminous silhouettes in nude and natural soft tones combined with "Ikat" patterns... so good.

The Jaspal Spring/Summer 2011 Fashion Show was beautiful! I absolutely love the colours and floral prints in this collection. And they are now available at all Jaspal boutiques.

The Glass Slipper Gala

I have been invited to cover the STYLO events for this week and last night was The Glass Slipper Gala. I chose a pleated drape skirt from Sevendays, Dorothy Perkins's top and Maysaa's kimono wrap (thanks Hana for the gift!). Finishing off the look with beautiful Pixie Heels from June + Julia, Diva necklaces and vintage belt.

The event was so bored up to my head. I couldn´t be attracted enough by one to be able to blog about it except for Jovian Mandagie’s “Trapped Cinderella” collection. I was actually very pleasantly surprised... There was an audible collective gasp when the models came out in huge cages with hundreds of recycled shoe soles and laces wrap around it. Love love love!

Chic Pop Street Market 7 Event

I stayed up until 4 a.m on Friday night preparing and tagging items for Saturday's Chic Pop. I had a lot of new stuff that isn't available on the site yet, so it took longer than usual. Even though I was working on four hours of sleep, yesterday's event was another great success! Here are some photos from the event... Everyone there is SO stylish! Super thanks to everyone who supported, shopped or stopped by yesterday....

We took these on our way to have my favourite cappuccino at Fat Spoon after a long and tiring meeting. I'm now working on with a project and I'm super excited! Will share with you guys real soon! :)

Anyway, I wore my new tutu, it's a birthday gift from Bono (and it's from her boutique, Stellar), vintage shirt and belt. Oh, and the heels... I have been eyeing them for quite a few months, and suddenly Fiefa surprised me with these on my birthday! They're really beautiful! Hehe, thanks...

Okay, need to start preparing for Chic Pop that will be held this Saturday. Lots of things to do, from ironing, price tagging and such... and I'm still thinking (for a thousand times) whether to sell or not some of my favourite items... Omg!

Surprise Birthday Party!

Okay, be prepared for an image-heavy post...

So in the midst of planning all the usual annual celebration for my birthday with my boyfriend... little did I know that he and my friends were planning a wonderful SURPRISE birthday party for my 24th birthday!!! I seriously had NO idea that he planned all that! It was an English Tea Party theme... and everything was so perfect... LOVED it all!!!

Actually we were planning on going out for movie-and-a-dinner date until my friend, Bono, called (in serious mode, that made me think she's mad at me) and asked me to pick up my stuff that I left at her house a week (or two) before. And I straight away called my boyfriend to come and fetch me A.S.A.P! Well, when we arrived, I walked in and there were my friends shouted "SURPRISE" to me! I was speechless and didn't quite know what to do with myself. I do not enjoy being the center of attention so I was kinda embarrassed. LOL.

Everyone was hiding (plus some on mezzanine floor), to surprise me. :p

24th Birthday Dinner

So... yesterday was my birthday! It was my freaking 24th birthday, which means I'm growing older! :D Thank God for showering me with a never ending blessings, especially with the presence of my dearest family, friends and all of you my blog readers.

Okay enough with the rambling.

On the nighttime, we went to La Barbera, Bangsar to have yummy dinner. We had a great time. It was sort of proper with delicious food and beautiful Italian setting.

My birthday dress was a vintage dress I found recently at thrift store. Have to shorten it the day before because it was quite long and that worked out much better. I wore it with vintage belt, Diva earrings and Vincci+ heels.

P.S: There were surprises too from my lovely boyfriend and friends which I will blog about soon. :)

Vintage Bazaar + Maysaa at Stellar

Yesterday's Vintage Bazaar + Maysaa, held at Stellar Boutique Studio - Threatened to be among the most mortifying moments of my life. It was surprisingly fun!

Sorry for no store update this week. :( Nooooo, not because I'm becoming a lazy person or what. The reason is because...

I'll be joining Vintage Bazaar hosted by Stellar this coming Saturday, March 12th! Instead of taking photos and writing up cheesy descriptions I went to thrift stores all week long, so I think that there'll be some extra good things up on the day. :) And the interesting part is... the price range will be as low as RM5!

There will be other super Stellar vintage vendors - ChentaPuteh, Thr5t, Rara Vintage Boutique, AND also Maysaa! Oh my god, I'm super excited! And my friend, Tammy, will be selling her pre-love items (books, shoes and some other stuff).

Headed out to the Coach launch party at Empire Shopping Gallery after work... It was fun, spent time with Fiefa and her boyfriend. :)

Oh, I'm currently obsessed with turban/head wrap. One of the reason, I want to grow out my hair back... So need to hide its awkward in-between stages. Hehe...

I had a lovely day after work - Visiting Shatirah's boutique to pick up my skirt that I ordered from her. Can't wait to wear that skirt soon! :) Then, had to rush to meet my boyfriend's friend, Tammy. I was lucky enough because she did manage to set an appointment for me to meet Hana Tajima. But only Fiefa was ended up bought some Maysaa stuff... Hehe. It was so nice I can finally met her in person.

I wasn't planning take an outfit photos, but that night when we were on our way back from Indian food dinner, we had a few minutes to kill and Fiefa's boyfriend (again... haha :p) suggest to take some blog photos. It was perfect and the spot was just right.

Old Tiny Houses

Last weekend we were going out and had a double date with my friend, Fiefa and her boyfriend who's coming to town . . . It seems awfully cute-sy to me because as I remember, I've never been on a double date in my life. Hehehe. In the evening, we decided to do some photo shoot together and her boyfriend was so sweet to take our photos. The location was in front of old tiny houses in Kuala Lumpur area. Hmm, I realized that old buildings are so much easier to take photos at, and so much prettier than commercial districts or the downtown area.

We did some shopping at Bangsar too... :)
