Look at how happy he was, during his dinner.

Photobucket

Last Friday was a red-letter day, because I just turned a year older. Yay me! I just hope this year is as good as last year, I hope it brings me happiness and love, and that all I wanted for this year becomes true. Am i asking too much? Mmm.. So yesterday, was a lovely day to celebrate, and that we did. My boyfriend and I spent the day in high spirits, enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Delicious. I love that place; the food is enjoyable.. and the decor is fresh and nice too. We did what we do best—ate a lot of food and made good conversations.
So for the dinner, I felt it'd quite appropriate to debut my puff dress. Love the way this dress makes me feel. With classic simplistic designs and clean lines, less is sometimes more when trying to look amazing. Also paired with my new python clutch and gorgeous chandelier earrings.

Wearing Aldo chandelier earrings, dress bought from online store, clutch and heels from Charles & Keith.

Birthday Gifts

Photobucket

Photobucket

During my shopping venture recently (for my birthday gifts to be more precise), my boyfriend and I were bustling around the mall looking for the supposedly items to buy for my birthday gifts. My beloved boyfriend finally purchased a python clutch for me. Yeay! I've been longing for a python clutch ever since I saw this one at Charles & Keith. Also, I got a pair of Topshop all over sequined leggings. This leggings is just so heavenly. Can't wait to play around with them!
Anyway, I wore this skirt once again along with one of my boyfriend's white shirt. It was an unexpected and sweetly conservative look. Plus it was too hot that day. And this skirt was perfect for the hot climates. I paired them with my studded handbag and fedora.

Wearing vintage fedora, Topshop puff skirt, shirt borrowed from my boyfriend, Charles & Keith studded handbag and heels.

P.S: Thank you sayang for the perfect gifts!

Fashionista I Adore: Alexa Chung

Photobucket
The British/TV presenter/model/all-around-it-girl extended her extraordinary taste to me. Considering this, plus this young stylesetter mixes colors, price points, and vintage with a finesse that is unparalleled by the bulk of her fellow British trendsetters (and believe me, there are a lot of them). Chung has thoughtful, attentive and individualistic way of putting herself together and I’m hugely fond of her personal style. She’s always quite innovative in the personal style department and wears things in a fresh way.
The outfits she wore are perfect examples of how to create a thoughtfully assembled look: dresses, blazer, booties, and clutches. She captured my heart, as well, when she dressed in classic dresses. I also love the way she belted the high-waisted skirt over a silk top.

Though there are many reasons I like Alexa Chung’s style, the tastemaker’s eye for detail definitely tops that list. Chung selected a pink silk dress, and beautifully understated pair of booties, both excellent choices. Of course, what really made this outfit are the all black accessories, which are interesting colors combination.

The City of Ember

I went movie-watching with my boyfriend (our usual activity) last Thursday—The City of Ember. It was not bad. Imagine living in a world where you have never seen the sun or felt the tickle of snowflakes on your face! But in the end it’s a little bit conventional, I think. It doesn’t quite live up to the expectations of the premise. Well, I enjoyed it. I don’t think it’s a world beater but, as a piece of cinema, I think it’s a beautiful piece of entertainment in a lot of ways.
By the way, this is what I wore that day. When I think of this traditional striped button downs shirt, I think of two things: preppies and bankers (or preppy bankers—ick!). Thankfully, a pair of denim shorts gave me a much better mental image to work with.

I'd take this photo before I head out to Mocca's concert with my girlfriend.
P.S: Forgive me for the blurry photo.

Trend Alert: New Nudes

Photobucket

As I started putting this season’s wish list together I found myself drawn to something entirely different—fresh spring trend: nude. Rather than bright pieces or vivid prints, a simple color palette—specifically nudes—captivates me right now. There’s something about these classic colors, and neutral hues in general, that feels particularly fresh, especially when mixed with a few of-the-moment accessories!

Above, the examples from spring 2009 show. Stella McCartney’s collection was chock full of delicate shades of flax and beige, while at Chloe, the drapey paper-bag pants is so gorgeous with the scalloped blazers in the prettiest pale peach. Vera Wang and Christopher Kane just came out with a nude version of their amazing dresses. I really adore these dresses; perfect naked dresses, as well as an awesome Alexander McQueen body-con dress—so simple, so cute.

Now I’m a bit obsessed with it!

Bad Hair Day

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Kind of in a gloomy mood today (a result of a bad hair day), then my boyfriend came out with this great idea—hiding my hair under a chic scarf. But I'm getting a little sick of my sturdy and serviceable scarves, so we decided to try out my favorite style version instead. The idea—wear it as a stylish looking turban. And the result... I’ve become so in love with this outfit-helping accessories. It is also help to tame flyaways and guard my hair from the sun. After all, how could we look less than wonderful with an interesting scarf wrapped around our hair?

Evening After The Rain

One of my key recipes for producing original and stylish looks (perhaps..) involves mixing together unexpected clothing combinations. Mixing the old with the new to have the best of both worlds. I offset my black short dittos with a sheer polka dots top and completed the look with a vintage beige blazer.
Wearing vintage blazer and sheer polka dots top in pink (with pussy bow) bought from online stores, Topshop black short dittos, River Island handbag and flats from Hujung Store.

P.S: Thanks to my craaazyyy friends and boyfriend for an awesome time yesterday. It was our happy hour singing marathon at Redbox. We sounded horrible, we were silly, but who cares! We had fun!

Day Out

I'm most likely to recall a specific day when I can associate it with a particular set of cute clothes. I don't remember too many details about what I am doing on that day, but I do know that was the day I wore my new vintage blazer I bought from a vintage online store. Paired it with my trouser, which by the way are surprisingly comfortable. Also with a pair of Miss Selfridge bold purple earrings. They are a great eye-catching alternative, too!

Though the little leather jacket has become quite quotidian over the past few years (now worn with everything from denim to party dresses), it’s also maintained its signature cool—a most difficult thing to do! I absolutely love my little leather jacket.. Just glad I swooped up some unbelievable piece at Topshop last year.
I feel cool, breezy and hippy when I get it on with this tie-dye t-shirt from Dolls Store, Topshop wet-look leggings and pumps. Oh, and don't forget the fedora (borrowed from my boyfriend)!

Trend Alert: Sequins, Sequins and more Sequins!

Photobucket

I tend to pay extra attention to some equally glittery items into my wardrobe. To illustrate my affection for this attention-getting material, I rounded up a few excellent examples from the runway.
Proenza Schouler—The moment I saw this sparkly jumpsuit I knew it was an ideal piece for my sequins inspired by. The sequin embellished Emillio Pucci dress is a party perfect statement piece. One of the amusingly genius of Balmain is a little show-stopping shimmer (so you won’t look too 80s) while Herve Leger played it rich with gold!

Vintage Blazer

Photobucket

Photobucket

While riffling through the ridiculous amounts of vintage stuffs at the Bijou Bazaar, I stumbled upon this black and white oversized blazer at one of the booth. I ended up buying it and played around with a white vest and my mini puff skirt. I kind of love it!
Then, as a final I picked up a pair of flats. I love the unique cut-out composition of these flats. The leather is a neutral color that will look great with everything. (Oh, and they are so comfortable!)

Fashionista I Adore: Camelia

Photobucket
About this darling girl—she is Malaysia's most stylish women. I adore her excellent personal style, from heavy electric, rock & roll, glamour, and elegant turned to totally new take!
I could point out so many amazing things about the ensemble Camelia wore: For example, a little hit of blue really enlivened her black, white, and gray outfit also the bright red lipstick dressed up the oversized white shirt and the Balenciaga gladiator heels.
She continues to play with daring trends—which is appropriate, given her age, and fun to watch—most recently stepping out in a denim jumpsuit. She looks so cool and I like the way she mix off everything; it’s dressy in a completely unexpected way.
Additionally, I adore Camelia’s fondness for a black and white color palette with elegant simplicity of her Gucci Studded Bootie: It’s an ideal accessory, as it can go with so many different outfits.

Thought I'd took these photos before I head out to my friend’s wedding and with my friend, Amy, during our way to go back.
Wearing a beautifully embroidered Nyonya Kebaya. Also, so excited about this very gorgeous ‘sarong’ which was a souvenir from my ultra-precious boyfriend after he came back from Langkawi Island.

Yes I felt overdressed, but quite frankly I didn't really care.

Fashionista I Adore: Agyness Deyn

Photobucket
Surely you’ve seen the of-the-moment beauty in every major fashion magazine around. She is one of the world’s most transfixing supermodels. Deyn is always be my inspiration because she’s got the sort of daring personal style I love to showcase.

Whether she’s trying out an oversized, glittering vest, boldly buckled boots, or simply stunning with the way she mixes trends, I can count on Deyn to do something different than the average red carpet walkers (thank god).

Plus, the combination of her signature short blonde locks and unpredictable, mod outfits—and I'm quite content to stay under her spell! I’ve always appreciated her wardrobe selections and her undeniably statement-making style.

New Shoes!

They are so precious. Everything from the criss-cross action to the pretty black hue to even the transparent heels - I'm in love!
Wearing blazer and check corset top (both I bought from online stores), Topshop wet-look leggings, studded handbag and the killer heels both from Charles & Keith.

Ahhh I LOVE Jumpsuits..

Photobucket

Photobucket

I personally ADORE the jumpsuits I purchased from Topshop several months back—Because they are everything fashion should be: flattering, easy to wear, sexy and hip.
Yes, some all-in-ones make a big statement, but there are so many subtle styles available that it’s possible to find a suit for any situation.
So you should get one before it goes mainstream. With the spring 2009 tailored, sexy sophisticated jumpsuits the choice should be easy.

Also.. Clearly I have begun to embrace some pretty new pair of bold chandeliers earrings from Miss Selfridge.

Wearing basic white vest, black jumpsuits both from Topshop, River Island clutch, and Charles & Keith heels.
