The Solemnization

Oh, lovelies, well today, I have our solemnization film with a lot of heart sent by the really amazing True Moment. I went through the whole gamut of emotions while I watched this most memorable moment in my life, but the part that got me the most when my dad shook Zul’s hand and exchanged phrases during the akad that I couldn’t help but tear up a little. There is so, so palpable joy about it. Something that makes me want to watch it over and over again. And I hope it will be something that make you smile too from the very beginning to the the very end, and then will make you press play just once (or twice) more. Hehe.

Lucite & Reflection

So for the hantarans, all about simple and beautiful touches. Little details so pretty and perfect, just like the whole theme of the wedding.

We wanted to create something a bit different for both hantarans. Modern and clean but of course it would have a soft feel through flowers (we’re talking fluffy hydrangeas, roses and phalaenopsis) and super chic details of crystals and pearls.

A little glimpse of our solemnization and reception decors. Yes, I'm all for big bright bold color. I mean, God knows I'm all for big contrast, but isn't it nice sometimes just to see a muted palette for once? So for the wedding, we just wanted it to be simple and yet classy at the same time.

We are officially husband and wife!

Alhamdulillah, with one lafaz I'm officially his :) We’ve already had a big weekend filled with the solemnization and my side’s reception. So much love for our relatives & friends who were so thoughtful helping us with starting our lives together. To those who came, thank you for being a part of our special day and I hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did. Also we would like to thank you for all the lovely gifts. Please pray for our beautiful journey ahead. :)  I’m sort of exhausted and can’t really write as much as I wanted to, so I’ll have to save recaps for later on, including details of the most amazing bachelorette party of all time, thrown by my girlfriends.  So with Zul’s side reception that will be happening next week I probably won’t be doing any outfit posts, but I do have some wedding posts lined up, so be sure to check back.

Sauver la Date

The big day is officially near, and it’s an appropriate time to share our save-the-date video. I have been so excited to share it with you! Mostly this session is a preview of our upcoming, a bit of ol’ dose of glamour, silver and white wedding soiree.

Dreaming of Raya Outfit

I’m not so in to Hari Raya mood this year (Trust me I don’t have any outfit for Raya yet!) since I have less than 2 months left before the wedding... which I’m nervous about! It’s funny how far away it seemed when we were planning it end of last year. The wedding seemed years away, but now all of sudden its fall and its crazy how stressful weddings are. *Sigh* Anyway, I’m going to try my best to stay calm and get things done. And when the day gets here I know it will be fun. InsyaAllah.

Okay, let’s forget about the wedding for a while and play a little game of pretend Raya outfit! I have been digging up some of the clothes I really want to wear to death…

This flowy kaftans with contrasting print is my dream pick to top off a festive outfit. And these elegant silhouette silk long skirts are just perfect to pair with it. Next, onto the accessories! Stay tall with sacrificing comfort in these platforms and Yves Saint Laurent bag with that freshly historical Y. Last, but not least, ARARED's Abstract Plate in Bejeweled + Brown. A touch of glitz for an extra pizzazz, which makes it the perfect blend of feminine and edgy.

Ahhh, I’m having so much fun playing dress up with my dream outfits. The idea of being your own Barbie doll, and imagine yourself into any situation you could dream up. That is what fashion is about, isn’t it? I have loads more of imaginary Raya shopping in my head. Until then!

I know everyone now is in full on festival mode! I adore this collection so much that I really have convinced myself it’s appropriate to launch it now. So much so, I’ve taken the idea to the extreme with a series of glittering array necklaces to dress up any outfit... shiny, shimmery, bright and sweet colours too (for those with an extra sweet tooth!).

H&M Autumn 2012 Showroom Preview

Okay I haven’t been the best at posting these past few weeks, have been so hectic and exhausted but extremely enjoyable weeks! Settled a few things for the wedding (less than two months to go!), helped Zul on his event company and some photoshoot works... I'll update about them soon-ish.

And now... it feels so nice to be at home, finishing the order for Arared's necklaces while posting up an overdue post... H&M Autumn 2012 Showroom Preview. Smirk smirk. Finally! Having the opportunity to visit their showroom was so special – I still can’t believe H&M is finally here!

Standing around talking to Alvin Woo, H&M's Showroom Manager, was easily the most entertaining hour of this entire visit.

The collection is a mix of "Minimalism meets Maximalism..." These are my favourite pieces below!

I can't wait to get my hands on the boxy coats, metallic pants and the sparkly statement jewelry. Sooo much concentrated perfection, I must say. I even tried on some of my favourite pieces!

extra (glittery) fun.

I had a blast trying on everything and loved hanging with the super fabulous H&M crew. 

My outfits on the day... a vintage dress Zul got for me. I love this dress to a degree that I am really trying to make them happen with a shirt... random choice for a dress but it somehow just works.

Paired with my favourite accessories at the moment. Both collar and wedges bought from  Ho Chi Minh.
